If you haven’t noticed, one of the things I really enjoy doing is doodling girls wearing nice clothes. This morning I woke up pretty early and did a quick little drawing after seeing the photographs above of Nadia Esra in her lookbook.
It was a nice little exercise. Nadia has an iconic look that is fun to try capturing on paper, not to mention that I wouldn’t mind owning most of the clothes she has (especially that jumper!).
I want to try not to repeat myself. But then I seem to do it continuously in my films. It’s not something I make any effort to do. I just want to make films that are personal, but interesting to an audience. I feel I get criticized for style over substance, and for details that get in the way of the characters. But every decision I make is how to bring those characters forward. –Wes Anderson
